   We at the Magi Society believe that astrology is a gift from God. A belief that astrology can be a help in life in no way precludes any religious faith. How could God put the stars in the heavens, teach us their symbology, and then not want us to use that symbology to better the lives of all humanity? How can anything which helps people fulfill their potential and avoid misery be negative? The personal empowerment that we can get from astrology may work against the attempts at populace control of some religious systems, but never works against God.

  Using the principles of four-dimensional Magi Astrology, these are noteworthy days- either positive or negative. Be aware that these are general predictions, and may be improved by, or negated by, your personal transits.

Jan. 1-2 are days to avoid new starts, due to a Saturn-Sun quincunx.

Jan. 3 is one of the better days to initiate new beginnings for anything you want to last, but is not ideal for new business ventures.

Jan. 4-5  Romance could be in the air, with a triple parallel/contraparallel of sexual planets.

Jan. 8-10 Any plans made now would be based on illusion and poor assessments, so wait for better stars to think clearly. Excess worry could also be a problem now.

Jan. 11-13 Steer clear of arguments and disputes.

Jan. 25-30 are absolutely days to avoid natalization of any new beginnings, due to Saturn-Sun or Saturn-Earth aspects.

Feb. 1- Mar. 15 mark the days of the Saturn-Chiron Heartbreak Transit. By all means, avoid starting anything new during this time, in love or career. If you absolutely must begin something new, the best days during this time are Feb. 28th and after. The worst days are Feb. 17- 21.

Mar. 15-19 are days when a mesmerizing person or idea could become an obsession. Things are very likely not what they seem, so delay taking action until after these days have passed.

Mar. 20- 22 Plans, especially family plans, have a way of getting muddled- be sure to explain everything clearly.

Mar. 31 People are not what they seem to be, and almost everyone will be exaggerating their stories at best. Since thinking is far from realistic, postpone serious decisions.

Use your high energy, but watch out for an uncharacteristic tendency toward impulsivity. A sense of being chained to an old way of thinking is possible. Gemini- May 22- Jun 21: You are the poster child for charm and adorableness this quarter- even more than normally. Opportunities to expand beyond your normal beliefs and way of living could ultimately be life-altering. Love and sex are high on your agenda, and may be a welcome distraction from sluggish finances- make sure to "play fair" where money is concerned. Repressed anger could be an issue- remember that CONSTRUCTIVE release of anger is the healthiest course. Daily routines can be soothing to jumpy nerves.

Cancer- Jun 22- Jul 23: You may still feel like a "heavy" for a while, and excess rigidity is something to avoid. Committed partnerships should be flourishing now and can bring joy if you lighten up. A partner's finances could be all over the map- getting a true fix on things could be difficult and sharing could become an issue. Single Cancerians may strike gold in the dating department. Friendships and group affiliations could be problematic and combative- staying very busy could help defuse this tendency. Be ready to let go of habits in your daily life that no longer work.

Leo- Jul 24- Aug 23:  Relationships are highlighted whether you are taken or available-- changes and transformations will come into relationships or through partners. Make sure your natural optimism isn't obscuring anything that you need to see. Don't let too-rigid beliefs unnecessarily limit your actions in the course of a day- that is a possibility this quarter. Your domestic life is a haven from potential disputes in your career. Love your friends but be honest with yourself about them.

Virgo- Aug 24- Sep 23: Though duty is high on your list of preoccupations this quarter, there should still be plenty of time for fun and games. If public obligations feel too onerous or resentments begin to brew, check in with yourself and see how you might create more balance in your life. Beneficial alliances can be formed in career, but be sure to choose a worthy ally, and take care to make agreements crystal clear. Avoid tangles with authority, or court matters, as they are unlikely to resolve in your favor now.

Libra- Sep 24- Oct 23: Domestic bliss may in fact be just that, though work responsibilities could pull at you quite strongly at least some of the time. Make time for having fun- the more unusual, the better- you need a breather from the status quo. Disputes over shared finances or resources are a possibility, so keep lines of communication open and be sure to listen at least as much as you talk. The good news is that your own income is on the upswing. Travel is a possibility- but be sure to read all the fine print before you finalize plans.

Scorpio- Oct 24- Nov 22:  Systems or authorities may seem to be overly controlling of your personal thoughts or communications. Hard work side-by-side with your partner will preclude possible antagonisms. Home and family life is a focus, and can be a bit of a roller-coaster- and getting a grip on the situation as a whole may be difficult. Play fair in financial matters and assure yourself that others are doing the same with you. An overall persona of kindness, generosity, and approachability draws people toward you.

Sagittarius- Nov 23- Dec 22:  Daily responsibilities make you itchy and twitchy, and could also make you quite irritable. This is a passing phase- don't take it out on others. Your income should be on the increase, but there could be interference from others who want their piece of the pie. Relationships combine friendship and spice. Taking time out to recharge and get in touch with your spirituality will bring comfort. Overall, you continue to have a lot of personal momentum- as long as you tread carefully, you won't arouse opposition.

Capricorn- Dec 23- Jan 20: Single Capricorns are pretty much an unstoppable force this quarter, with looks and charm to spare, and tons of energy for dating. Committed Caps may still find their relationship somewhat limited or limiting. A clear financial picture may still be elusive, and you can expect the unexpected where money is concerned. Teamwork should be an asset in getting it all done, but do be clear about what is expected of each person, especially as the quarter progresses. You are still experiencing an evolutionary process deep within yourself, the result of which will not be seen for some time.

Aquarius- Jan 21- Feb 19: You are going through an extremely independent period, when any restrictions or expectations placed by others will not be appreciated. On the domestic front, continual activity will help redirect potentially combative energy into more positive channels- but stick to solo projects. Fun is a nice antidote to the fairly heavy load of responsibilities you carry now- and you do know how to make it happen. Friendships are changing, and a friend could even unexpectedly become much more than that. You appreciate quiet retreat time more than usual now, and it could be a source of real creativity.

Pisces- Feb 20- Mar 20: You are going through a time of incubation in preparation for a personal debut coming soon. Don't lash anyone with your currently sharp tongue. Friendships should be both a help and a joy now. A sense of camaraderie can be found at home, but be realistic and make sure everything is spelled out. Opportunities for travel will expand your horizons, as will the current studies of student Pisceans. It continues to be a time to be extra sure to keep your career karma clean. If single, be patient- a time of more opportunity and more fun is on the horizon.

    Our Soul Path

   Being on our Soul Path can be the difference between being content in our lives, and having a continual emptiness which cannot seem to be filled, which I call Soul Hunger. Most of us are aware of our personality needs and wants- we can chase and chase these, and never feel fulfillment. It is only by walking our Soul Path that we can truly feel at peace within our lives.

   In a natal chart, the Soul Path is indicated by the North Node of the Moon. To understand the Soul Path, the North Node is analyzed by Sign, House Position, and Aspects in both the longitudes and the declinations. An amalgam of past lives is indicated by the South Node- 180° from the North. The South shows us our jumping-off point, the skills we've mastered, and possibly our typical reactions when under stress.

   Many astrologers rank natal charts as either "hard" or "easy" based upon the preponderance of either hard aspects such as squares and oppositions, or easy aspects such as trines. I feel this is a simplistic view at best. In terms of the relative ease of one's life, an easy chart is one in which the personality is in alignment with the Soul. This allows even a relatively unaware and unevolved person to have a satisfying life.

   A hard chart would be one in which the desires of the personality either contradict, or are at least dissimilar to the Soul Path. Unless a person with an unaligned chart is very aware, and willing to devote energy to the requirements of their Soul Path as well as the needs of the personality, a sense of life fulfillment is unlikely.

   Discovering your Soul Path is a wonderful way to add to your sense of "rightness" in your life. Many people who have spent time in personal growth and spiritual practice find that they are already on their Path instinctively. For those who aren't, new levels of inner peace and life satisfaction are possible with the addition of the pursuit of their Soul Path. Our Soul Path is what we came into this life to follow, to learn from, to be healed by, and to become. Following it is our purpose, and is the current step on our journey toward oneness with the Divine.
