In relationship analysis, several factors must be assessed
to come up with a clear picture of the relationship and its
potential.1. Analysis of the CAC (combined alignment chart
or synastry chart) between the two people. Here
would be seen the nature of the couple's interactions. Soulmate
linkages (romantic super-linkages), sexual linkages,
captivations, friendship and loyalty linkages, mental affinity,
ease or difficulty in communication, and significant clashes
would all be noted and assessed.
2. Analysis of the natal charts of each partner. Each person
has their own unique strengths and challenges which they
bring into a relationship. Individual needs for
freedom, emotional intimacy, mental stimulation, sexual
stimulation, lack of dissension, etc. all vary enormously.
Additionally, each partner also brings issues from the past
which may or may not have percolated into awareness and begun to
be healed. Also, each partner's Soul Mission must be factored
in.
3. Analysis of the couple's meeting date and wedding date if
applicable. These dates have a large influence on the way each
partner perceives the relationship and the experiences they have
together. These charts can also be progressed to reveal cycles
within the relationship.
If your relationship is more difficult than would be
indicated in the CAC, the answers are likely found in the
individual natal charts and/or in the meeting chart. In
relationships, we can only be who we are now, and we can only
deal with who our partner actually is now. A CAC indicates the
nature of the interaction between two people, but if we are
dealing with a very troubled or wounded person, their issues
cannot help but color our experience of being with them.
Likewise, a very poor meeting date will negatively affect our
perceptions of the relationship and the things which are likely
to happen to the couple.
One more factor to consider is the age of the partners. Very
young people may simply not yet have the maturity on board to
handle a relationship responsibly, or be ready to make a
commitment.
A thorough analysis of all these factors would reveal the
areas of difficulty in your relationship, and whether or not the
difficulties are likely to be temporary or permanent.

negative effects are most detrimental at the cycle's
peak. With positive cycles, actions should be taken as
close to the peak of the cycle as possible to maximize
the cycle's positive influence.
The single simplest
and most powerful way anyone can use astrology is
to avoid universally bad days for new initiatives.

July 17- 31 An applying Mystic Triangle of Vesta, Ceres
and the Saturn-Jupiter Midpoint in helio bespeaks a need
to postpone building new business alliances.
August 10-28 brings a Universal Heartbreak Transit as
geocentric Saturn is in an applying contraparallel to
Chiron. This is not a good time to initiate anything new
in business or pleasure, including meeting new people.
August 14-16 An
applying Grand Cross of Mars, Jupiter, Ceres and Vesta
in helio could create grossly inflated goals or
expectations. Err strongly on the side of caution and
moderation.
September 14-20 An
applying T-Square of Chiron, Pallas, and the
Saturn-Jupiter midpoint could lead plans made with
family or loved ones to go horribly awry. Avoid making
plans now or participating in complex arrangements if
possible.
September 18- October 8
Saturn is applying by quincunx to Chiron, creating
another Universal Heartbreak cycle. Avoid this time for
new meetings or important new beginnings. |

Aries- Mar 21- Apr 20:
This could be an excellent time to work on financial
planning for the future. Friendships should be
especially rewarding, and new friends made now may
become lasting allies. Strong desires to enjoy
life could be limited in some way this quarter, but do
your best to exercise both play and creativity when
possible. See if you can harness your high energy for
tasks at this time toward working "smart" enough to buy
yourself some time off. Summer travel should be
possible, and you will likely find that the new vistas
explored will eventually lead to inner transformations.
Taurus- Apr 21- May 21: You
may need to "step up" in some way on the home front-
your strength and solidity could make all the difference
for someone you care for. Joint ventures could bring
lots of profit now, though you are always urged to be
prudent and exercise due diligence before investing.
Sexy times could be ahead this quarter for both
committed and single Taureans, though Bulls in long-term
relationships may find some lack of clarity too.
In your career, don't base decisions on wishful thinking
or give excessively of yourself to the point of burnout.
Enjoy new and unexpected acquaintances.
Gemini- May 22- Jun 21:
The emphasis early this quarter will be on income
and you should have a fairly easy time of bringing home
the bacon, especially if you stay very disciplined and
avoid wasting time on dubious tasks. As the quarter
progresses communications become highlighted- and you
may need to expend extra effort to keep interchanges
flowing smoothly. If your domestic scene gets a bit
contentious, try to avoid fanning any flames. Hard work
around the home will help defuse any tension. Serious
relationships are a boon, though they will still need to
continue their evolutionary process.
Cancer- Jun 22- Jul 23: Financial
limitations may still concern you at the beginning of
this quarter, but they should begin to ease up fairly
soon. Despite this, you could still see a windfall or
two, so keep your spirits up and your eyes open. Think
before you speak now- your idea of a "funny" joke might
seem far too cutting, or you might otherwise do
unintended verbal damage. If single, you must force
yourself to be realistic and even skeptical now. Soon,
though, a wonderful relationship becomes a real
possibility. Breathe life into stale routines by finding
ways to streamline them or make them more productive in
some way. Plans made with friends should be very
satisfying.
Leo- Jul 24- Aug 23: At
some point in the quarter you will emerge from a rather
quiet and private phase into the glare of the spotlight.
This much attention can be lots of fun, but bright light
can also be unforgiving in the way it points up our
shortcomings. Strive to keep things light and easy so
you don't come across too overbearing or controlling. If
you succeed in this, you'll no doubt be perceived as
especially attractive and charming! Romance should be
positive and enjoyable whether you are single or
attached. You have the capacity to work hard now at
money-making, and you are also equipped to make future
career plans.
Virgo- Aug 24- Sep 23: Your
energy should be abundant this quarter- Use it to
accomplish great things rather than to permit it to
degenerate into squabbling over minutiae. You have the
capacity, if you channel yourself wisely, to move
mountains with great love and devotion. Long-time
relationships get a breath of fresh air and
opportunities to re-create themselves in a more perfect
form. Expect the occasional surprise and you'll be able
to handle those that come up with aplomb. Strive to keep
communications clear. Part of the summer may involve a
respite of some kind- an opportunity to retreat and
regroup. Let this be a welcome break in a busy life-
you'll be out in the forefront soon enough.
Libra- Sep 24- Oct 23:
Don't let yourself stew on a deep level- keep
frustrations conscious so they can be processed
constructively. In terms of output, you'll do better
working outside the box and pioneering new strategies
than doing things the same old way. Additionally, you'll
then be better able to enjoy your daily tasks instead of
considering them impossibly dull and constraining. A
blessed time in your domestic environment is either here
now or on its way soon- enjoy the relative quiet and
peace. Take great care to avoid dubious financial
schemes and even honest misunderstandings which could
crop up now in the money arena. Be open to making
necessary changes in your communication style.
Scorpio- Oct 24- Nov 22: Career
focus is strong during this quarter, and you have both
the passion and the determination to make strides.
Whether resulting from this or independent of it,
finances should be positive. Enjoy vigorous activities
with friends, otherwise you may find yourself spending
your time bickering with them. If you find humanity
somewhat irritating, be patient and this will pass-
don't consider your frustration sufficient justification
for doing anything you wouldn't ordinarily do. Keep your
words and behavior clear and free from mixed messages.
You may be making romantic plans for the future.
Sagittarius- Nov 23- Dec 22:
Expect the unexpected on the home front, these
are simply not predictable times. At the least, you
won't be bored. Authority of all kinds continues to be
less than palatable- the more you can stay under the
speed limit or "fly under the radar" the better. You are
able to work both energetically and intelligently now
and can plan your time super-efficiently. Poetic or
musical expression is highlighted if you incline
in those directions. Try to get away a bit this summer
if you can, but be patient if travel is not immediately
on the horizon. Try not to be excessively dominant in
groups- it's very easy to steamroll others now.
Capricorn- Dec 23- Jan 20:
These days your generosity and idealism are highlighted,
with the result that you could be less cautious than
usual in the financial sphere. Though you are likely to
still be sufficiently pragmatic to avoid some pitfalls,
there is a possibility of your good nature being taken
advantage of, and some of your hard-earned money taken
with it. Use care in any deals now. By all means travel
now if you can- an activity-oriented trip with lots of
physical exertion would suit your energies far better
than quiet R & R. New acquaintances who appear now may
or may not prove their worthiness in the long run.
Aquarius- Jan 21- Feb 19:
Friendships continue their cycle of change-
new friends may enter your life, old friendships may end
or transform themselves. Whatever happens, this area of
your life will likely act as a force for personal
evolution as well as for your benefit in general.
Committed romantic relationships will probably go
through moments of sweetness and moments of limitation
during this quarter. Keep your feet on the ground and
your vision crystal clear in career as self-deception in
this area is a possibility. Planning on the home front
is a strong possibility. Financial matters are still
likely to be less stable than you might wish.
Pisces- Feb 20- Mar 20: Existing
partnerships find both tenderness and sex highlighted-
if too much bickering is going on, more lovemaking
should cure that. Your mind is working in a very
detailed and disciplined way now- so be sure to put it
to good use. It may be hard to perform your daily tasks
without resentment or impediments now- an attitude
adjustment may be called for, and this will make things
much easier to handle. Your career should be moving in
excellent directions. Conformity is just about last on
your list now and you probably are enjoying being a bit
shocking at times.

Do You
Believe in Astrology?
Recently I
came across an amazing quote in the book
Autobiography of a Yogi by Paramahansa Yogananda. In
it, the young Yogananda says to his guru, Sri Yukteswar,
"I don't believe in astrology." Sri Yukteswar's answer
to his young disciple was stunning:
"It is
not a question of belief; the scientific attitude
one should take on any subject is whether it is true.
The law of gravitation worked as efficiently before
Newton as after him. The cosmos would be fairly chaotic
if its laws could not operate without the sanction of
human belief.
Charlatans have brought the ancient stellar science (of
astrology) to
its present disrepute. Astrology is too vast, both
mathematically and philosophically, to be rightly
grasped except by men [sic] of profound understanding.
If ignoramuses misread the heavens, and see there a
scrawl instead of a script, that is to be expected in
this imperfect world. One should not dismiss the wisdom
with the 'wise.'
All
parts of creation are linked together and interchange
their influences..... Astrology is the study of man's
response to planetary stimuli. The stars have no
conscious benevolence or animosity; they merely send
forth positive and negative radiations.* Of themselves,
these do not help or harm humanity, but offer a lawful
channel for the outward operation of cause-effect
equilibriums that each man [sic] has set into motion in
the past."
Just like
the young Yogananda, few
intelligent people "believe" in something that they
consider to be unproven, and much of the pop astrology
put forth by various astrologers could easily be taken as
proof that astrology doesn't work. Even so, one
cannot compare the work of the gifted masters in art or
music with the results of a class of kindergarteners
equipped with finger paints or sets of cymbals.
Intelligent people are willing to discard preconceived
notions and observe for themselves what works. The only
way to do this is to pay attention to a particular
school of astrology over a
period of time- in essence to perform one's own
longitudinal study- to discover astrological relevance
and accuracy for oneself.
I believe
astrology works. I believe this because I have seen it
work again and again over more that 30 years of
observation. Still, I discourage "wholesale" belief
or turning one's life over to any advisor.
Astrological advice is simply one piece of all the data
that needs to be considered in any situation. Let your
astrologer be as any consultant-- factor in the advice,
then take your Free Will-chosen action and note the
results. In time, you will learn how heavily to "weight"
the astrologer's advice based on its proven accuracy.
I also
believe that Magi Astrology can be given more weight
than traditional astrology. I discovered Magi Astrology
after 20 years of studying traditional astrology, and
before I committed myself to a serious study of Magi
Astrology I spent a year going back over 2 decades of
saved data to see for myself if Magi Astrology
really was more accurate. I concluded that Magi
Astrology is a quantum leap above and beyond traditional
astrology, and the rest is history....
Magi
Astrology is comprised of statistically proven
principles. We could say that we have discovered pieces
of the puzzle of the Cosmic Laws described above by Sri
Yukteswar. As we continually expand upon our research,
new pieces of the puzzle are discovered in the same way
that all sciences are or should be continually expanding
their knowledge base. Someday we at the Magi Society
hope that we will have a complete understanding of these
Cosmic Laws. In the meantime, the answers that are
available within the current knowledge base of Magi
Astrology do offer considerable understanding of "man's
response to planetary stimuli," which can be applied to
direct benefit in our personal, professional, and
financial lives.
*As a
footnote to the quote from Sri Yukteswar above, I agree
that while the planets themselves are without conscious
benevolence or animosity, I deeply believe in the
overall Benevolence of the Universe.
